Jeanine Thomas, Founder of MRSA Survivors Network, shares insights and industry updates on the pressing issues facing the state of MRSA surveillance in today's healthcare system. Through the stories of those who have faced the life-threatening infection, attendees will learn about the tools available for MRSA tracking programs, strategies for prevention, and the need for transparency to improve your quality of care and meet regulatory requirements.
Ms. Jeanine Thomas founded MRSA Survivors Network in early 2003 due to having been critically ill with a MRSA infection, sepsis and C. difficile. MSN gives support to MRSA patients and their families along with raising awareness and educating the public and healthcare community. Ms. Thomas also founded World MRSA Day, Oct.2 and World MRSA Awareness Month, October in January of 2009 and U.S. Senate Resolution 301 passed Oct. 5, 2009 officially designating the annual awareness dates. Ms Thomas works with other consumer and patient advocacy organizations in the US, Canada and Europe.
