CANDOR Combats Racism: How RLDatix can help with the Battle

RLDatix’s Dr. Tim McDonald and Gail Mowatt will facilitate a discussion with Ryan Solomon and Shannon Hendrix of Arkansas Children’s Hospital on how racism and implicit bias contribute to preventable harm in healthcare and the role CANDOR can play in addressing the harmful effects of racism and bias for patients, families, their loved ones and members of the care team. Participants will learn: How to identify the ways in which racism and implicit bias contribute to preventable patient harm and distress amongst members of the care team How the domains of CANDOR can specifically address and provide solutions that help combat racism and implicit bias About Arkansas Children’s CANDOR journey and how they adapted the CANDOR tools to address bias in the care of Black patients and how racism impacts black and other racial or ethnic minority members of the care team Ways that RLDatix solutions can be utilised to help solve the problem of racial disparities in healthcare
